Stay Hydrated: Heat Stress Awareness
We are approaching the hottest months of the year, monitoring for heat stress is essential. Heat stress can increase the risk of injuries and is a serious condition that occurs when the body can no longer control its internal temperature causing a multitude of dangerous effects. People can experience heat rash, cramps, exhaustion, and stroke. Aldridge employees are trained annually through a comprehensive Heat Stress Prevention Program which provides extensive awareness through best practice education.
Here are a few tips to stay safe while outside in the heat:

National Safety Month
It’s National Safety Month! Safety is our #1 value and this mindset extends at home or at work, day or night. It is centered around human interactions, care, and concern. This drives a culture that supports checking in with each other and speaking up if we see an unsafe action
Aldridge’s goal is to achieve an Incident & Injury Free work environment. Any employee performing work for Aldridge is expected to maintain safety as a value. Aldridge considers no part of the construction or maintenance process more important than preserving the well-being of all its personnel, subcontractors, the general public, and customers. The realization of this goal depends heavily upon the active participation and attitude of you, our employees, and your employees in implementing the requirements set forth.
Aldridge Welcomes ComEd Construct Graduate
The war on talent is truly never-ending but with ComEd’s Construct program, the future leaders of the industry have never been easier to find. The ComEd Construct program allows a pool of qualified minority candidates to enter into entry-level construction jobs in Illinois.
ComEd’s Construct Infrastructure Academy is an 11-week program designed to expose members to work in the construction field. Here, their goal is to inform members of the skills needed in the field, connect participants to companies that fit their needs, prepare members for the field through a variety of testing, and strengthen life skills.
Brieanna Ware is Aldridge’s 5th hire from the program and we couldn’t be happier to have her on the Aldridge Team. Brieanna now works with our Utility department as an Assistant Project Manager.

Our long-range strategic plan has us laser-focused on winning the war for talent.
