Broadway Substation Rehabilitation

Aldridge was tasked with replacing all the old traction power equipment at the Broadway Substation in Chicago, IL. This contract was performed in close coordination with similar work at three other CTA substations.

The scope of work included AC and DC switchgear, rectifiers, and transformers. The project also involved the installation of high- voltage cabling, lighting, and SCADA systems. Station shutdowns were closely coordinated to replace equipment in phases and the project was successfully completed on time
