Project Summary
Aldridge was contracted to install new high-security fencing and technology equipment at a Maryland Substation in just four months. This mile-long, 12 FT high-security fence required high-tech security cameras and barbed wire. The cameras utilize thermal visioning and Fiber SenSys, an outdoor perimeter intrusion detection system that uses both fiber optic and radar technology in zones that cover the perimeter of the substation. This detection system ties back to the security building, also installed by Aldridge, that all of this technology feeds back into. The project benefited from off-site prefabrication of over 1,000 panels and the barbed wire grounding, resulting in a significant decrease in labor hours.
