Project Summary

The 606 is a multi-use trail that runs along a former elevated train line in Chicago, connecting Humboldt Park, Logan Square, Bucktown, and Wicker Park. It was abandoned several years ago, and was re-purposed for Recreation and Green space. The overall project was to remove three miles of track and replace with a 14' wide bike path. Additionally, seven parks were added to the trail at multiple access points.

The Aldridge scope consisted of 181 trail lighting poles, 36 underpasses, demolition of the existing lighting and replacing with new LED fixtures. Also, specialty lighting in each of the new parks, in the access ramps and four of the nature trails. A fiber optic package was added to the trail for 16 security cameras, one for each park and at every access point on the trail.
