Celebrating another great summer with our biggest team of interns yet - 50! During the three months they spent at Aldridge, the Class of 2022 made meaningful connections with industry professionals, learned more about their areas of interest, and were shown what a career path in construction could look like for them.
This group of bright young professionals represented a diverse group of students with interests in a variety of disciplines from Project Management, Safety, Quality, IT, Marketing, Talent Management, and Estimating. In addition they were members of various industry organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

ACE Program - Aldridge has been a long supporter of this program that offers insights into the world of Architecture, Construction, and Engineering. For years, Aldridge has provided internships to ACE students. We recently welcomed our first full-time hire who had previously spent three years interning for us. He even recruited his brother into the program, a rising high school senior, for this summer’s internship.
Intern Lunch and Learns - Throughout the summer, Senior Project Managers hosted weekly lunch and learn sessions with a large group of interns covering topics such as best practices and mental health.
Continuing Education - Aldridge offers a comprehensive training and development program on hundreds of topics from job-specific tasks to the latest technology used to enhance efficiencies in day-to-day activities. Interns were offered a variety of options to choose from, both in-person and virtually, to continue their education throughout the summer.
End of Summer Celebration - Each intern presented a summary of their summer successes to a room full of mentors and executives. The day was capped off with an Aldridge intern tradition - a visit to the Cubs game at Wrigley Field! This day is intended to celebrate their achievements and collaborations throughout the duration of their internship.
