Vehicle occupancy detection system

Aldridge crews are working to install a vehicle occupancy detection (VOD) system in the high occupancy tolling (HOT) lanes, at seven sites, along Interstate 495 and 395 in northern Virginia. This technology identifies vehicles in violation of the minimum vehicle occupancy requirements while traveling within the express lanes. As Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) experts, we are proud to be a part of this innovative project.
