Aldridge has been growing and expanding since 1952! As 2022 began, we expanded our existing PreFab Shop by leasing an additional 50,000 sq. ft. building to enhance and allow for more growth, more space, and even more productivity!
This new dedicated warehouse will provide prefabrication solutions to support our mission critical construction services. Here, our BIM efforts feed directly into our prefabrication operations where we are building steel rack assemblies for underground conduit stub ups and duct bank runs. Our shop has multiple CNC machines to cut custom spacers out of HDPE plastics, these spacers are used to line the conduits exactly where they need to go in the package and maintain the spacing needed per the specifications. These assemblies are then shipped to the data center job site and set in place using Trimble technology for layout. The CNC spacers are also used to build PreFab sections on site. These larger packages are then set in place and tied together using a in-house developed piece of equipment to connect the sections together.
From a quality perspective, we design and produce our spacers as a guide for concrete cover on the duct package. This minimizes over-pour for efficiency while ensuring coverage per the specification. We have installed hundreds of thousands of feet of prefabricated duct bank which has been an incredible advantage to keeping our worksites safe and minimizing install time on-site.
