In a significant development, the Kenneth Aldridge Family Foundation has partnered with the Mayo Clinic Center for Regenerative Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota to further advance the fight for a T1D cure. The $1.3 million gift has been earmarked for Type 1 Diabetes research, aiming to discover and deliver solutions to the millions of people living with this debilitating disease. T1D has impacted the Aldridge family for the last 18 years. Leading the charge in T1D research at Mayo Clinic is Dr. Quinn P. Peterson, Ph.D.
Ken and Amy Aldridge expressed their admiration for Dr. Peterson, his research team, and Mayo Clinic’s patient-centric approach to medical advancements. "We were impressed by Dr. Peterson, his research team, and Mayo Clinic’s whole person, collaborative approach. They have the ability to take a cure from the lab to bio-manufacturing, and deliver it to the patient, all in house," Ken stated.
