Our time with our interns is wrapping up as we close out the summer. Last week, our end-of-summer meeting took place in which each of our 37 interns developed their respective presentations on their unique experiences and identified the highlights from the last 10 weeks. Common themes from the day included: safety first, collaboration, adaptability, work ethic, and an overall commendation to the commitment each employee has to our core values, the Aldridge Way.
The class of 2021 included 13 women and 24 men from a wide range of colleges and universities across the nation - many of whom are industry organization members. In addition, two of our 37 interns came to us from the ACE Program, which is an organization we have worked with for the last five years. The ACE Program pairs industry professionals with inner-city high school students to give real life experiences for students interested in pursuing careers in architecture, construction, and engineering.
Each individual in the Aldridge Internship Program has truly shined in their roles by bringing their motivation and drive to work each day, incorporating ideas, exploring various resources, and adapting to the challenges along the way. We could not be more proud of our interns for all of their efforts and accomplishments this summer. Aldridge showed our gratitude with a year-end celebration at historic Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs vs. the Brewers.
Aldridge takes pride in our influential ability to educate our interns on the industry and guide them forward into their future career paths, while at the same time continuing our mission of building America's infrastructure by recruiting and developing the industry’s most passionate and creative people to take on the industry’s most challenging work.
From our CEO, Alex Aldridge himself, “there are a lot of passionate and driven people at Aldridge, and because of this, there is nothing we cannot do.”
