FLEET
With a fleet of over 2,000 assets strategically operating from our headquarters in Libertyville, IL and various shop and yard locations in Darien, WI, and Bethlehem, PA, our fleet department is seamlessly integrated to optimize utilization.
Aldridge’s fleet includes numerous specialty innovations as well as over 40 specialized drill rigs capable of handling diverse soil conditions, including rock and wet / non-cohesive. These modern rigs demonstrate versatility in navigating tight spaces, traversing various terrains, and working beneath energized lines. This robust fleet is integral to our value proposition, ensuring our ability to deliver world-class services.
Speciality Equipment (Fleet)
Amphibious & Marine
Our versatile fleet operates coast-to-coast, with a strong focus on environmental restoration. Our amphibious equipment enables us to access otherwise unreachable areas by conventional means. Whether on land or water, our array of amphibious equipment, boats, barges, and airboats equips us to handle even the most complex foundation projects.
Railborne
Custom-developed railborne equipment streamlines track operations during infrastructure replacement and modernization. With a team of subject matter experts dedicated to equipment and tooling innovations, ongoing experiments have led to unique tools and equipment modifications that enhance processes, boost productivity, and elevate both quality and safety standards.
Technology-Enabled
Harnessing Trimble Technology to elevate excavation work, this advanced system delivers precise grade control for excavators, maintaining a half-inch tolerance during object installation and trenching, ensuring finish grades are achieved more efficiently. By integrating this technology, equipment operators can better coordinate with other trades, identify prefabrication opportunities, and reduce overall work hours. The program’s connectivity allows seamless information sharing between the office and field crews, ensuring access to the latest drawings. With AR and 3D grade control, production rates are optimized, reducing equipment and fuel usage by approximately 25%.
Mobile Training Units
Our two mobile training units, including a 51' trailer and a specialized manhole rescue trailer, travel nationwide to train and qualify union electricians for complex vault and utility work in enclosed spaces. These units provide hands-on training in live environments for network protectors and secondaries, focusing on maintenance routines, troubleshooting, and safe operations. They also offer practical instruction in cable splicing, manhole assessments, and rescue simulations, ensuring electricians are fully prepared to handle real-world challenges in confined spaces.
